Our East Africa retreat combines safari, wildlife conservation, cultural immersion, and island wellness across Kenya, Rwanda, and Zanzibar. Please consider the following before enquiring:

Guests should have a good level of fitness and be comfortable with both active and slower-paced days.

Comfortable with multiple flights and remote travel logistics, including charter bush flights and regional connections.

Travel days can be long and involve multiple segments, particularly between Maasai Mara, Rwanda, and Zanzibar.

Flexibility is required, as flight schedules, wildlife movements, and local conditions may adjust timings and activities.

Gorilla trekking in Rwanda is physically demanding:

Trekking can take 2–6+ hours in steep, uneven terrain at altitude

Conditions may be muddy and humid

A reasonable level of fitness and mobility is required

A valid gorilla trekking permit is required (approx. US$1,500 per person) and is limited in availability.

Optional hot air balloon safari in the Maasai Mara is at an additional cost (approx. US$450–500).

Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, although the Maasai Mara offers excellent opportunities to see the Big Five.
